How to Pack Private Videotapes
```Use a plain, sturdy box and enough padding to keep tapes from moving during shipping.
Recommended
- Use a plain cardboard box.
- Wrap tapes or cushion them with packing material.
- Keep smaller tapes together in a bag, case, or inner box.
- Include your printed confirmation email.
- Use a trackable shipping method.
- Keep your tracking number.
Avoid
- Do not write adult, private, explicit, or sensitive descriptions on the outside of the box.
- Do not ship loose tapes in an oversized box with no padding.
- Do not use a fake return address.
- Do not ship unsupported formats without asking first.
- Do not forget to include your confirmation email.
- Do not ship irreplaceable media without tracking.
What Should Be Written on the Box?
```Nothing about the private contents should be written on the outside of the package.
A normal shipping label is enough. The outside of the box should only show the information required by the carrier, such as the destination address, return address, barcode, and tracking details.
There is no need to write phrases such as adult tapes, private videos, explicit recordings, porn tapes, sensitive content, or video transfer order on the outside of the package.
Important: Discreet shipping does not require strange packaging or misleading information. Use a plain box, accurate shipping details, and no unnecessary content descriptions.
Accepted Media
```Private Video Transfer accepts several common consumer tape formats and loose printed photos.
- VHS
- VHS-C
- miniDV
- Video8
- Hi8
- Digital8
- Other compatible standard 8mm camcorder tapes
- U-Matic tapes
- 8mm, Super 8, or 16mm movie film
If you are unsure what you have, use the Ask a Private Question form before shipping.
What Happens After the Package Arrives?
```After delivery, your package is checked in and matched to the Start an Order form you submitted.
We review the media count and basic order details before processing begins. A confirmation email is sent after your package has been received and entered into the system.
Private Video Transfer generally confirms received packages within 48 hours after arrival.
After check-in, you will receive an invoice before transfer work begins. Payment is required before processing.
Billing and Return Shipping Names
```Private Video Transfer orders are billed through Memory Fortress, an established digitization operation. Your invoice or payment receipt may reference Memory Fortress.
Return shipping may be processed through an affiliated Nostalgic Media fulfillment account, which may appear in tracking or return-shipping communication.
These relationships are disclosed in the order confirmation so invoices, receipts, and tracking notices do not appear without explanation.
